Fire safety officer

The fire safety officer is a person who has been specially trained by the employer and appointed in writing to perform fire safety tasks within the company. However, the fire safety officer may also be provided by an external service provider. The focus is on preventive fire protection. The necessity and obligation to appoint a fire safety officer arise, among other things, from the respective state building regulations, private law contracts (insurers) or from specifications of the building authorities for special buildings.
