Occupational safety specialist
According to the Occupational Safety Act (ASiG), an occupational safety specialist is a consultant who advises employers on all matters relating to occupational health and safety. The most common abbreviation is SiFa. A SiFa holds a staff position and has no authority over employees. The role of a SiFa is advisory and supportive. Safety-related support can be provided either by an in-house SiFa or by external service providers.
